TERMS OF REFERENCE

"To co-ordinate the work of assessing and maintaining road carrying structures in London by highway authorities to achieve a programme of optimum priority and to ensure minimum disruption to London’s highway network and other transportation systems."

"In addition to ensure optimum use is made of available funding".

 

MAIN TASKS - CO-ORDINATION STEERING COMMITTEE

 

1. Devise and agree a strategy for the prioritisation for the Strengthening and Other Structural Maintenance of Highway carrying structures in London

2. Agree London-wide priorities for the Assessment, Strengthening & Other Structural Maintenance.

3. Agree distribution of available funding in line with the Prioritisation Strategy.

4. Monitor the implementation of the Assessment & Strengthening Programme and Other Structural Maintenance with particular reference to programming and expenditure.

5. Provide quarterly reports to LoTAG, GOL and ALG in respect of progress.

6. Prepare London wide Package Bid on an annual basis.

 

AREA CO-ORDINATION COMMITTEES

MAIN TASKS - AREA CO-ORDINATION COMMITTEES

1. Production of comprehensive list of all highway structures requiring Assessment, Interim Measures and Strengthening.

2. Detailed planning of assessment work including likely cost.

3. Agreement of a prioritised strengthening / replacement programme including costs, details of route versions and interim measures, etc. in accordance with the LoBEG prioritisation strategy.

4. Production of maps showing location and status of each structure within the Assessment & Strengthening Programme.

5. Detailed planning and monitoring of Assessment, Strengthening and Other Structural Maintenance.

6. Production of information required for the London Package Approach.
